Anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the U.S.[spacer height=”20px”]

Anxiety disorders affect 40 million adults in the United States age 18 and older, or in other words, 18% of the population. (Source: National Institute of Mental Health). As a result, many people have crippling thoughts about themselves and fear their future. Many do not know how to begin harnessing, striving, or believing in their potential. Furthermore, according the the ADAA (Anxiety and Depression Association of America), anxiety disorders are highly treatable while only about one-third of those suffering receive treatment. It is helpful for us all to gain understanding about the prevalence of mental health concerns. This way we can both gain the support we all need and deserve, and we can begin to dispel a stigma that has hindered both personal and societal growth. [spacer height=”20px”]
